I couldn’t resist sharing a few more submitted stories from our making days brighter contest<\/a>. (I wasn’t kidding when I said they were all winners) Reading these just warm my heart!<\/p>\n

The gift I most enjoyed giving from catching fireflies was a beautiful turquoise beaded bracelet to my good friend Lynn.  I had just discovered she had bought a new wool turquoise blazer and she loved the bracelet!  You see, Lynn and I do not exchange birthday or holiday gifts; rather we have chosen to bless each other throughout the year with little acts of kindness.  <\/p>\n

Well, to make a long story short, this past year Lynn ‘out did’ me 2 to 1 in blessing me as my in-laws battled cancer and Alzheimers.  The bracelet will never repay her kindness, but hopefully it will remind us both of our love and friendship for each other.<\/p>\n

\"Fa7\"Several years ago I received a gift from your store.  I was leaving a job and two of the young teachers in my building gave me a going away present – a wall hanging of a fairy with the message "inspire" because they said that I inspired them.  It was special because of the meaning they gave to it but also because it introduced me to your store.  It still hangs in my kitchen.<\/p>\n

I went out to my mailbox yesterday to find several doctor bills that I hadn’t expected to come so quickly.   Along with them there was an envelope from catching fireflies.  I was delighted to find I had won the monthly $63 shopping spree!!   I can’t tell you how it totally made me day!   Just in time for my birthday!  Thanks again.<\/p>\n

\"Roch_i\"Every time I visit your store my day gets brighter.  Being an artist myself, my eyes and heart feast on all the creative treasures that greet me as I enter your amazing store.  I cannot single out just one item.  I love browsing thru and examining each and every thing I see (including the doors, lockers etc used as props) marveling at the joy in creativity.  I always buy too much, but I can’t control myself.  When I get home the fun begins again as I unwrap these gifts for me and my loved ones and find the perfect home for them.  They give me pleasure every day.  Thank you for brightening my life. xoxo<\/p>\n

I have a dear friend (I’m 39 with three young children, She is 60 with 3 grown children), we meet once a week for dinner and a movie.  I know this is the point of this contest but I really can’t express in words all that she does for me..she keeps me going in this crazy motherhood world.  Anyways, catching fireflies gifts let me express to her how special she is.  They are always unique and special just like her.  Every gift I give her is from your store…angels, crosses, friend tokens, frames, money pots to save money for our movie nights, funny kitchen signs, your metal little signs with hope, joy, grace.  So there is not one gift but all your gifts help me to express how much I appreciate her in my life.  So thank you!  <\/span><\/div>\n
