{"id":1260,"date":"2006-08-07T19:16:42","date_gmt":"2006-08-07T23:16:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/catchingfireflies.com\/blog\/?p=1260"},"modified":"2006-08-07T19:16:42","modified_gmt":"2006-08-07T23:16:42","slug":"santa_monica_su_1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.catchingfirefliesgifts.com\/blog\/2006\/08\/santa_monica_su_1\/","title":{"rendered":"santa monica sunset"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/catchingfireflies.typepad.com\/photos\/uncategorized\/3rd_street_promenade_400_1.jpg\"><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/catchingfireflies.typepad.com\/photos\/uncategorized\/the_pier_b_5.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"image-full\" title=\"The_pier_b_5\" alt=\"The_pier_b_5\" src=\"http:\/\/catchingfireflies.typepad.com\/photos\/uncategorized\/the_pier_b_5.jpg\" border=\"0\" style=\"FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 5px 5px 0px\" \/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoPlainText\" style=\"MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt\"><span style=\"FONT-SIZE: 9pt\"><span face=\"Courier New\">Whenever Steve &amp; I travel to do a trade show we always try to weave a little fun in after the workday.&nbsp; &nbsp;We just recently got back from the California Gift Show which takes place in downtown Los Angeles.&nbsp; Unfortunately there&#8217;s not too terribly much happening right downtown so we ventured off and explored beautiful Santa Monica.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoPlainText\" style=\"MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt\"><span style=\"FONT-SIZE: 9pt\"><span face=\"Courier New\"><a href=\"http:\/\/catchingfireflies.typepad.com\/photos\/uncategorized\/sherbet_beach_homes_b_5.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"image-full\" title=\"Sherbet_beach_homes_b_5\" alt=\"Sherbet_beach_homes_b_5\" src=\"http:\/\/catchingfireflies.typepad.com\/photos\/uncategorized\/sherbet_beach_homes_b_5.jpg\" border=\"0\" style=\"FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 5px 5px 0px\" \/><\/a> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoPlainText\" style=\"MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt\"><span style=\"FONT-SIZE: 9pt\">Walking along the sidewalk headed towards the pier I couldn&#8217;t help to notice this playful trio of beach homes.&nbsp; I just love how the sherbet flavored colors compliment each other.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/catchingfireflies.typepad.com\/photos\/uncategorized\/pier_performer.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"image-full\" title=\"Pier_performer\" alt=\"Pier_performer\" src=\"http:\/\/catchingfireflies.typepad.com\/photos\/uncategorized\/pier_performer.jpg\" border=\"0\" style=\"FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 5px 5px 0px\" \/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoPlainText\" style=\"MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt\"><span style=\"FONT-SIZE: 9pt\">Once we made our way to the pier we bumped into a grand variety of talented entertainers, musicians and artists.&nbsp; It was a wonderfully eclectic mix and I was thoroughly enthralled because I am a junkie for festive environments (just ask my husband&#8230; any signs of white tents, music or any commotion in a park or closed street and I&#8217;m there) <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoPlainText\" style=\"MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt\">\n<p class=\"MsoPlainText\" style=\"MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt\">\n<p class=\"MsoPlainText\" style=\"MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt\">\n<p class=\"MsoPlainText\" style=\"MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt\">\n<p class=\"MsoPlainText\" style=\"MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt\">\n<p class=\"MsoPlainText\" style=\"MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt\">\n<p class=\"MsoPlainText\" style=\"MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt\">\n<p class=\"MsoPlainText\" style=\"MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt\">\n<p class=\"MsoPlainText\" style=\"MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt\">\n<p class=\"MsoPlainText\" style=\"MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt\">\n<p class=\"MsoPlainText\" style=\"MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt\">\n<p class=\"MsoPlainText\" style=\"MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt\">\n<p class=\"MsoPlainText\" style=\"MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt\">\n<p class=\"MsoPlainText\" style=\"MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt\">\n<p class=\"MsoPlainText\" style=\"MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt\">\n<p class=\"MsoPlainText\" style=\"MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt\">\n<p class=\"MsoPlainText\" style=\"MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt\"><span style=\"FONT-SIZE: 9pt\"><a href=\"http:\/\/catchingfireflies.typepad.com\/photos\/uncategorized\/skinnie_minnie_b.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"image-full\" title=\"Skinnie_minnie_b\" alt=\"Skinnie_minnie_b\" src=\"http:\/\/catchingfireflies.typepad.com\/photos\/uncategorized\/skinnie_minnie_b.jpg\" border=\"0\" style=\"FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 5px 5px 0px\" \/><\/a> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"FONT-SIZE: 9pt\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoPlainText\" style=\"MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt\"><span style=\"FONT-SIZE: 9pt\">After having dinner on the pier we headed towards Third Street Promenade which consists of a fabulous collection of stores and of course more street performers and musicians.
