Meet Fred & Donna Kostrick.\u00a0 This young spirited couple have been married over 50 years & spend their extra time transforming old license plates into recycled hip signs.<\/p>\n

We had a chance to ask Fred & Donna about their inventive signs…<\/p>\n

What
\ninspired you to start creating your art work & how did you turn it into a
\nbusiness?<\/span><\/p>\n

We started collecting license plates<\/span> as a hobby.\u00a0 We got so many
\nplates we needed to do something with them.\u00a0 Then I went shopping for my wife’s
\nbirthday and found a journal made out of plates.\u00a0 I knew I could make them
\nmuch cheaper.\u00a0 I started with journals and then went on to making signs
\n& state maps and then decided to make the whole USA.\u00a0 I started giving
\nthem as gifts.\u00a0 Most people loved them so I started selling them at the
\nWarren Farmers Market<\/span> on Sunday in the summer time<\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

What do
\nyou most love about the creative process?<\/span><\/p>\n

The favorite part of the creative process is making people smile\u00a0when
\nthey see the finished product.<\/p>\n

\nWhat makes your artwork unique?<\/p>\n

The one thing that makes our products unique is no two are alike and we are
\nusing all recycled material.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
