places&#8230; one of them being Anthropologie.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.catchingfirefliesgifts.com\/blog\/2008\/08\/under-the-sea-w\/\">I blogged about these amazing windows<\/a> I saw in New York in the summer of 2008.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.catchingfirefliesgifts.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/xmas1120.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1805\" title=\"anthropologie\" src=\"http:\/\/www.catchingfirefliesgifts.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/xmas1120.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"507\" height=\"850\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The thing I love about Anthropologie is they always use common things like cups, books, bags, plastic bottles, cupcake liners&#8230; and turn them into amazing art installations.\u00a0 Unfortunately I don&#8217;t have a team of artists on call to implement such grand displays, however I do try to put my own simple spin on things&#8230; so here are my cupcake liner\/coffee filter strings of snowflakes.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.catchingfirefliesgifts.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/xmas117.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1801\" title=\"coffee filter snowflakes\" src=\"http:\/\/www.catchingfirefliesgifts.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/xmas117.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"437\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.catchingfirefliesgifts.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/xmas117.jpg 600w, http:\/\/www.catchingfirefliesgifts.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/xmas117-300x218.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I picked up a couple different sizes of coffee filters &amp; cupcake liners.\u00a0 I love the idea of cutting the coffee filters into more interesting circular shapes for added interest, but since I&#8217;m one gal making\u00a0 10+ strings of these I passed on that detail.\u00a0 Now the fun part &#8211; stack your shapes &amp; styles of snowflakes&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.catchingfirefliesgifts.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/xmas118.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1803\" title=\"coffee filter snowflakes\" src=\"http:\/\/www.catchingfirefliesgifts.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/xmas118.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"2320\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Note&#8230; curling ribbon melts when placed on very hot glue so wait a few seconds to let it cool before applying ribbon or use a different kind of ribbon\/string that won&#8217;t melt with heat.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.catchingfirefliesgifts.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/xmas119.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1804\" title=\"cupcake liner snowflakes\" src=\"http:\/\/www.catchingfirefliesgifts.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/xmas119.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"1262\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.catchingfirefliesgifts.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/xmas119.jpg 600w, http:\/\/www.catchingfirefliesgifts.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/xmas119-142x300.jpg 142w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Since our store windows are rather tall, I made these pretties 7-8 feet long.\u00a0 I also chose not to flatten some of the liners &amp;
