{"id":2446,"date":"2012-03-24T22:28:51","date_gmt":"2012-03-25T02:28:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.catchingfireflies.com\/blog\/?p=2446"},"modified":"2012-03-24T22:28:51","modified_gmt":"2012-03-25T02:28:51","slug":"my-march-resolution","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.catchingfirefliesgifts.com\/blog\/2012\/03\/my-march-resolution\/","title":{"rendered":"my march resolution"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Resolutions don&#8217;t have to begin in January, right?\u00a0 Well at least that&#8217;s what I&#8217;m telling myself.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve owned a digital Nikon SLR camera for over 7 years.\u00a0 I bought it to take pictures of our products in a light booth for our website &amp; had a photographer friend dial up the manual settings for our shooting conditions.\u00a0 Beyond that, I really haven&#8217;t done much with it.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve always wanted to learn more, but never carved out the time or energy to make it happen.<\/p>\n<p>After attending the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.catchingfirefliesgifts.com\/blog\/2011\/10\/reflection-on-the-creative-connection\/\">Creative Connection<\/a> last fall, I was re-inspired to pursue this skill.\u00a0 Plus seeing all the pretty pictures on <a href=\"http:\/\/pinterest.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Pinterest <\/a>continues to make me drool.\u00a0 I want to take photos like that!\u00a0 So I signed up for an online class at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bigpictureclasses.com\" target=\"_blank\">Big Picture Classes<\/a>\u00a0 this March &amp; am spending 8 weeks learning about mastering the manual mode.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.catchingfirefliesgifts.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/tuesday-and-gus.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2447\" title=\"tuesday and gus\" src=\"http:\/\/www.catchingfirefliesgifts.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/tuesday-and-gus.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"1208\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.catchingfirefliesgifts.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/tuesday-and-gus.jpg 600w, http:\/\/www.catchingfirefliesgifts.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/tuesday-and-gus-149x300.jpg 149w, http:\/\/www.catchingfirefliesgifts.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/tuesday-and-gus-508x1024.jpg 508w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Lucky for me Tuesday &amp; ended up picking up a hyacinth too.\u00a0 Something about the intoxicating smell of these posies makes me incredibly happy.\u00a0 Our house definitely got a big dose of plant perfume last week.\u00a0 For more of my class homework, I\u00a0 took a daily picture of this purple lady as she put on her spring show.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m looking forward to the next 4 weeks of class &amp;
