{"id":2886,"date":"2012-06-06T09:20:54","date_gmt":"2012-06-07T01:20:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.catchingfireflies.com\/blog\/?p=2886"},"modified":"2012-06-07T12:44:10","modified_gmt":"2012-06-07T16:44:10","slug":"punchy-pink-party-invites","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.catchingfirefliesgifts.com\/blog\/2012\/06\/punchy-pink-party-invites\/","title":{"rendered":"punchy pink party invites"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hourdetroit.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Hour Detroit magazine<\/a> always puts on a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hourdetroit.com\/Hour-Detroit\/2012-Best-of-Detroit-Evite-Video\/\" target=\"_blank\">fabulous party<\/a> to celebrate their Best of Detroit issue &amp; it&#8217;s the perfect event to celebrate with our team.\u00a0 For fun we chose to invite our catching fireflies &amp; yellow door gals to the party by sending them pink heels through the mail.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.catchingfirefliesgifts.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/hot-pink-shoes3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2887\" title=\"unique items to send through the mail\" src=\"http:\/\/www.catchingfirefliesgifts.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/hot-pink-shoes3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"1997\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.catchingfirefliesgifts.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/hot-pink-shoes3.jpg 600w, http:\/\/www.catchingfirefliesgifts.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/hot-pink-shoes3-90x300.jpg 90w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The idea came to me when I was shopping for shoes at the thrift store for a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.catchingfirefliesgifts.com\/blog\/2012\/05\/marvelous-shoe-makeover\/\" target=\"_blank\">decoupage project<\/a>.\u00a0 I managed to score the shoes for about $4 a pair, then proceeded to cover them with a couple coats of hot pink spray paint.\u00a0 After an afternoon of drying I wrote the message with a thin black sharpie marker &amp; added the address on the bottom of the shoe, leaving enough room for the postage.\u00a0 I was really happy how they turned out &amp; they only ended up costing around $5 a shoe including postage!\u00a0 That&#8217;s pretty inexpensive for a guaranteed surprise smile :-)<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #993366;\"><strong>Like clever &amp; crafty ideas that are outside of the box?\u00a0 We love sharing our creative ideas.
