{"id":296,"date":"2009-12-15T23:05:19","date_gmt":"2009-12-15T23:05:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/catchingfireflies.com\/blog\/?p=296"},"modified":"2009-12-15T23:05:19","modified_gmt":"2009-12-15T23:05:19","slug":"recycled-firefly","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.catchingfirefliesgifts.com\/blog\/2009\/12\/recycled-firefly\/","title":{"rendered":"recycled firefly"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>One of the many things I&#39;m thankful for is friends who encourage me to be creative just because.&#0160; It&#39;s really easy for me to get wrapped up into doing things solely for work so when I got the invite from my friend <a href=\"http:\/\/www.allendesigns.typepad.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Michelle<\/a> to participate in an artist ornament exchange, I accepted the challenge and came up with this silly character<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/catchingfireflies.typepad.com\/.a\/6a00d83451dba369e2012876595aeb970c-pi\" style=\"display: inline;\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Firefly1\" border=\"0\" class=\"asset asset-image at-xid-6a00d83451dba369e2012876595aeb970c \" src=\"http:\/\/catchingfireflies.typepad.com\/.a\/6a00d83451dba369e2012876595aeb970c-800wi\" title=\"Firefly1\" \/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p>I gathered up some burnt-out retro Christmas light bulbs. colorful wire, assorted beads and handmade paper.&#0160; After shaping &amp; sizing the wire wings &amp; beaded eyes, I removed them so I could hot glue paper to the wings.
