James Taylor sang it right… “The secret of life is enjoying the passage of time<\/a>” but don’t you find yourself saying “Where did the summer go?”\u00a0 I’m right there with ya.\u00a0 That’s one reason why I decided to start capturing the little things every day with a some help from Chantelle from Fat Mum Slim.<\/a><\/p>\n

Each month she reveals a list of daily prompts. All you have to do is use any camera you have {iPhone, Smartphone, Digital, DSLR, Polaroid \u2026 seriously anything that captures photos} and use the daily prompt as inspiration.<\/p>\n

I’m a recent Instagram<\/a> convert & since I usually always have my phone with me most places I go, I’ve been snapping away since April.\u00a0 If you’re not familiar with this snazzy free app that’s available on most smart phones… it has a number of filters you can choose for your photos that make them look artsy in a second.\u00a0 It also creates a feed that your friends can follow.\u00a0 You can follow me @tuesdaycat<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I like to think of this as a visual diary of my days… and it only takes a minute to do.\u00a0 It reminds me a bit of our line a day journals<\/a> we carry at catching fireflies. Because really… doesn’t a simple image or sentence sometimes bring up memories you normally would forget?<\/p>\n
