{"id":651,"date":"2008-09-29T10:56:16","date_gmt":"2008-09-29T10:56:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/catchingfireflies.com\/blog\/?p=651"},"modified":"2008-09-29T10:56:16","modified_gmt":"2008-09-29T10:56:16","slug":"ive-been-bit-by","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.catchingfirefliesgifts.com\/blog\/2008\/09\/ive-been-bit-by\/","title":{"rendered":"I&#8217;ve been bit by the fall knitting bug"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I took a community ed. knitting class about 12 years ago during my college days.&nbsp; I had big plans to knit this fantastic sweater, however my lack of patience and desire for quick results got in the way&#8230; hence I ended up with a lonely sweater sleeve.<a href=\"http:\/\/catchingfireflies.typepad.com\/photos\/uncategorized\/2008\/09\/29\/wool2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"image-full\" title=\"Wool2\" alt=\"Wool2\" src=\"http:\/\/catchingfireflies.typepad.com\/photos\/uncategorized\/2008\/09\/29\/wool2.jpg\" border=\"0\" style=\"FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 5px 5px 0px\" \/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p>One thing that hasn&#8217;t changed in 12 years is my love for rich colors and scrumptious textures.&nbsp; So when I stopped by Berkley&#8217;s cozy knit shop, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.haveyouanywoolmi.com\/About_Us2.htm\">Have You Any Wool?<\/a> and saw Bridgette&#8217;s latest project, that tiny knitting bug started whispering in my ear again.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/catchingfireflies.typepad.com\/photos\/uncategorized\/2008\/09\/29\/wool1_copy.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"image-full\" title=\"Wool1_copy\" alt=\"Wool1_copy\" src=\"http:\/\/catchingfireflies.typepad.com\/photos\/uncategorized\/2008\/09\/29\/wool1_copy.jpg\" border=\"0\" style=\"FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 5px 5px 0px\" \/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p>Bridgette wanted to create a textured throw for her living room so she took in a few of her pillows and pulled complimentary yarn colors in a variety of textures.&nbsp; I love this idea!&nbsp; It&#8217;s far more simple than any sweater sleeve, the constant changing of yarn will keep my ADD at bay, plus I have a feeling it&#8217;d be forgiving of my many mistakes.<\/p>\n<p>And lucky for me she&#8217;s offering this workshop on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.localendar.com\/elsie?JSP=PublishedCalendar&amp;mode=PUBLISH_PUBLIC&amp;search_type=M0&amp;start_date=10\/01\/08&amp;calendar_id=323812&amp;rss_link=323812\">Sunday, October 19 at 12:30<\/a>.&nbsp; <a href=\"http:\/\/catchingfireflies.typepad.com\/photos\/uncategorized\/2008\/09\/29\/wool5.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"image-full\" title=\"Wool5\" alt=\"Wool5\" src=\"http:\/\/catchingfireflies.typepad.com\/photos\/uncategorized\/2008\/09\/29\/wool5.jpg\" border=\"0\" style=\"FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 5px 5px 0px\" \/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p>So I&#8217;ll be there rummaging through the many bushels of fabulous fibers.
