This adorable grey fur ball entered our lives in the summer of 1998.\u00a0 I\u00a0was working at a wonderful day camp at Humane Society of Huron Valley<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0part of the camp activities included\u00a0playing with some of the puppies and kittens that were up for adoption.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

After just one day on the job, I knew this little lady needed to come home with me. \u00a0After a quick conversation with Steve,\u00a0\u00a0we decided to adopt her on Tuesday. \u00a0She was the first official furry addition to our little family.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Tuesday\u00a0quickly became my studio buddy since I spent the weekdays at home creating handmade paper goods to sell at art shows on the weekends. She would keep busy chasing raffia scraps that fell from my work table and take naps in boxes of ribbon scraps. \u00a0Cuddling was her specialty and she would cozy up to almost anyone when given the opportunity.<\/p>\n

We adopted her sister Piper, two years later. \u00a0They became buddies and we brought them to our studio and storefront in Berkley almost everyday. They even had a special column in our newsletter titled, Tuesday & Piper’s Pick.<\/p>\n

Tuesday had many important jobs around the shop including inspecting merchandise, modeling mannequin outfits, promoting products on instagram and insuring new displays are clean and ready to be painted.<\/p>\n

After a while\u00a0Tuesday transitioned to spending more time at home. \u00a0She still kept busy helping me with computer work, watching over Lolo and Gus… and reminding\u00a0me it’s okay to take naps when you’re tired.<\/p>\n

\"tuesday<\/a><\/p>\n

Over the years Tuesday\u00a0has made many friends. Our Finnish daughter, Iitu taught her the art of taking selfies. \u00a0Tessa, our German daughter insisted on taking her for walks around the neighborhood. \u00a0\u00a0Our Berkley manager, Danielle never passed up an opportunity to give her kisses when she visited.<\/p>\n

Like most cats, she enjoyed nesting in cozy places… including Tessa’s suitcase. (and Tessa would have packed her in there too if she could have gotten away with it)<\/p>\n

Even though she had all that fur, finding heat\u00a0was a top priority on her daily to-do list. \u00a0Any warm vent or sunny spot… she was there.<\/p>\n

In the warmer months she would trade the heat vent for a roll in the grass or an afternoon of window watching. \u00a0There was a good reason one of her nicknames was Fur considering you could virtually comb out another cat from her coat.<\/p>\n

She was always a good sport when it came to our crazy Christmas cards.<\/p>\n

Tuesday\u00a0and Gus got along swimmingly… although I’m sure Gus envied her lap cat status as he often thinks he is a far smaller dog than he actually is.<\/p>\n

I’m grateful we were able to capture some precious moments with both of our first babies. \u00a0We’re lucky to have shared 17 years with Tuesday. \u00a0Her friendly meow greeting, cozy cuddles, sweet purr and constant companionship will be missed dearly.<\/p>\n
