Lazy Gal from Williamston, Michigan.&nbsp; She creates fabulous scarves, pillows and quilts from recycled sweaters.&nbsp; <a href=\"http:\/\/catchingfireflies.typepad.com\/photos\/uncategorized\/2007\/11\/18\/lazygal3_3.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"image-full\" title=\"Lazygal3_3\" alt=\"Lazygal3_3\" src=\"http:\/\/catchingfireflies.typepad.com\/photos\/uncategorized\/2007\/11\/18\/lazygal3_3.jpg\" border=\"0\" style=\"FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 5px 5px 0px\" \/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p>A portion of her artist statement reads, &quot;<em>My studio is in my kitchen, so I can sew and cook at the same time. I love combining the old and the new.&nbsp; I use thrown-out sweaters&#8211;this lets me make something out of nothing. And I get to go to thrift stores, which combines business with pleasure! Sewing is fun because friends can get together to do it&#8211;what could be better? I like my circles because they look like cookies, donuts or candy.
