A review reads, "Having not released this, his debut solo album<\/a>, until the relatively advanced age of 30, Scott Matthews<\/a> has had plenty of time to absorb a whole raft of influences, and he\u2019s acquired some interesting ones. Essentially a blues-based singer-songwriter with a penchant for the late Sixties, together with the more-or-less-expected bits of folk and rock.  Matthews\u2019 vocals, indebted to Jeff Buckley<\/a> and Nick Drake<\/a>, are also a little too mannered on occasion.
