MARGIN: 0px 5px 5px 0px\" \/><\/a>I had the chance to attend the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.detroiturbancraftfair.com\/\">Detroit Urban Craft Fair<\/a> this weekend and was introduced to a whole new subculture of the craft world.<\/p>\n<p>This rather new event is put on by a group of crafty chicas that go by the name of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.handmadedetroit.com\/\">Handmade Detroit<\/a>.&nbsp; A lot of these crafters are very connected online with blogs and have individual shops on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.etsy.com\/\">Etsy<\/a> (a online store where you can sell and buy handmade goods)<\/p>\n<p>I found it all quite fascinating considering 12 years ago <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aipaper.com\/\">my only options<\/a> for selling handmade goods were the local farmers market and high school holiday bazaars.<a href=\"http:\/\/catchingfireflies.typepad.com\/photos\/uncategorized\/2007\/08\/05\/cold_snap_bindery.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"image-full\" title=\"Cold_snap_bindery\" alt=\"Cold_snap_bindery\" src=\"http:\/\/catchingfireflies.typepad.com\/photos\/uncategorized\/2007\/08\/05\/cold_snap_bindery.jpg\" border=\"0\" style=\"FLOAT: left;
