I had heard about Smencils, but hadn’t tried them until now. They are even better than I expected.

The pencils are made from recycled newspaper instead of wood and
they are packaged in a corn-based biodegradable plastic tube. I like
the eco-friendliness but what I really like is the amazing aroma. The
pencils have been soaked in stimulating peppermint oil – just perks you
right up when you smell it! And a little extra perkiness is great for
when kids are needing to focus on homework or a test."
