oh there are so many things i love- obviously my family and friends- the feeling of getting in bed with freshly laundered sheets, the smell and sound of the ocean, the joy of watching my dog play with her toys, the feeling of getting off the plane and seeing loved ones, finding that perfect gift for someone, chocolate mousse, ceral for dinner, the feeling after a great run.

Im not the kind of person to just throw the word love around like it means nothing. In saying that I “love” very few things. Of course I love my family and friends and would do anything for them. What do I love?
My husband! Married for 10 years this year and still my best friend. He’s leaving to take a job 800 miles away and I won’t be able to join him permanently for another 15 months (we have one child left in high school). We’ll only be able to see each other once a month. BUT as they say, “Absence makes the heart grow fonder.” I honestly don’t think I can love him more than I already do!
I love my Husband for making me smile even though life has dealt us a rough hand this round and making me smile has been no simple task.

Who do I love? Well, there are too many to list. But many include the wonderful family and friends I have accumulated over the years. At many times you can equate our family get togethers as those of the Griswalds in Christmas Vacation. And, with friend get togethers…much like a movie that need sto be written. Either way, I would not know what love is if I did not have my friends and family and I would not change a thing.

I love Catching Fireflies because I know for a fact that I can go in any day and find the perfect gift for someone special. And I like the cats!
I love visiting your Berkley store and brousing at all of the adorable kitchen items. I have given beer bands and wine charms to friends as gifts, as well as the cake tester – to name a few. I also recommend the ceramic egg separater to anyone tho enjoys baking!

I must tell you that I love your store. I walked into it (Rochester) for the first time just before Christmas. I had walked by it dozens of times and told myself I was going to go in, but never did. I loved that when I walked in I was greeted with fun gifts and trinkets that I wasn’t finding anywhere else. It felt great to walk into a store that wasn’t selling the “same old stuff.” I love what you sell, I love your customer service, too – warm and friendly – thanks! I’m planning a little trip next week as a treat to myself. I can’t wait!

Many years ago on soft summer nights just as the sun went to sleep, my daddy would take canning jars and poke holes in their lids. Handing us each a jar, he would tell us to catch the “diamonds” in the sky. We took to it in earnest with shouts of “over here”, “I got one!”, or “Shoot, it got away!” Later, Daddy would sit on our beds and tell us a story, usually about a bear or a wolf or some other miracle from nature, and our only light in the room would be our “jewels” blinking in their new homes on the bedside table. I loved then the magic of catching fireflies and I still do.
I love passing on great gifts and seeing faces light up. I love my springer spaniel — more than a person should love a dog, probably. I love summer nights on the beach. I love what I do for a living. I love good books and fuzzy blankets. I love the warmth of sunshine when it’s cold outside.

I am so blessed to have many, many LOVES in my life! The first is Jesus, followed very closely by my precious husband of 35 years, Dale, David, Katie, Mike, Natalie, Ethan, Noah, Luke, and Malachi. The last 4 are our grandsons and they give us so much love and joy that I could just burst:-) Life is a gift and I know as I am a cancer survior! Enjoy every sweet moment of it:-)
