Butterfinger bars

If your looking for something sweet to add to a lunch box, but don't want to commit to turning on the oven, these super tasty treats are the perfect solution.

I found this simple recipe in our No Bake Recipe book. Makes 2 dozen

Butterfinger Bars

Ingredients 

  • 3 cups cornflakes, crushed
  • 1 16 oz jar crunchy peanut butter
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2/3 cup corn syrup
  • 2 cups milk chocolate chips

Directions 

  1. Grease 9×13 pan with butter
  2. Heat peanut butter, sugar and corn syrup over low heat to melt.
  3. Stir in cereal.
  4. Pat into 9×13 greased pan.
  5. Melt chips and spread on top.
  6. Let chill for 20-25 minutes before cutting into bars

I found by storing them in the fridge, they taste the most like Butterfingers… but really I'd eat chocolate & peanut butter at any temperature :)
