  1. Home made butterfingers
BIG cheese-its, peanut butter, melted chocolate
Sandwich the peanut butter between 2cheese its, dip on melted chocolate and refrigerate until hard…
    :) easy and tastyyyy!!!

  2. Our favorite holiday treat is Pumpkin Chocolate Chip bread. We make mini loafs and deliver them to neighbors on Thanksgiving day or the day after. Gets everyone out of the house for a while AND we get to see our friends in the neighborhood!

  3. Every Christmas morning my mom makes vanilla and nutmeg french toast and homemade syrup. It is a tradition that my entire family (and there are 6 of us!) looks forward to every year. Last year we added delicious, sparkling Mimosas to the tradition, which compliments the warm and sugary goodness!

  4. Favorite holiday treat= wreath treats!!
made with corn flakes, marshmallows and green food coloring! form into wreaths and decorate with red hots! so cute and so yummy!

  5. One of my favorite things to eat during the Holdiay season is my grandmothers sugar cookies. Even with the receipe, I still can’t make them as good as her!

  6. one of my favorite holiday treats are my great aunt betty’s sugar cookies. my grandmom used to make them too. they are a cake-like cookie and the recipe has been in my family for years. they’re delicious!

  7. A holiday tradition that has now been passed on to my family is my mother’s brown sugar cookies. They are an unbelievable thin, crisp cookie with a fudge topping. Sinful!!

  8. I have many, but I love Chocolate-dipped candy canes. You can buy the bigger candy canes and dip them in melted chocolate and then whatever else you want (sprinkles, crushed candy, nuts, etc.) Then, re-wrap them in some little clear baggies and tie at the top with ribbon. So pretty!

  9. Magic Cookie Bars – Mmmmmm Mmmmm Good! You know the ones. Butter, sugar and graham cracker crust then sweetened condensed milk, chocolate morsels, walnuts and coconut. Yumm! Good to eat and to give away as treats.
You gals always have such fun stuff at the Berkley store.

  10. My favorite Holiday treat — Russian Teacake cookies (or Mexican wedding cakes, some people call them). They are, for me, the taste of the holidays.

  11. My favorite holiday treat is peppermint twist cookies (the recipe from the Betty Crocker cookbook). They are soooo yummy, and everybody loves them when I bring them to Christmas parties.

  12. My favorite holiday treat is definitely almond sugar cookies that we cut out with cookie cutters and decorate at my parent’s house! My sisters and I still go home to do this even though we’re in our twenties!

  13. Holly Cookies! They are made exactly like Rice Crispy treats, but use Corn Flakes instead of Rice Crispies.
Add some green food coloring to the marshmallow/butter mixture (enough to turn it GREEN-green). Stir in the cornflakes. Spoon mixture out onto wax paper (about 2 tbsp for each cookie) while still warm, and add a couple Red Hots as holly berries.
Fun to make, fun to eat & an excellent holiday memory for me!

  14. I love snacking on chex party mix and these ‘cookies’ that are a mixture of white chocolate, rice krispies, marshmallows and peanut butter-super yummy!

  15. My favorite dish is my hubby’s “world famous” pecan pie. It is the best! He says it’s worth baking it because he gets many smiles, hugs and smooches!

  16. Favo holiday treat down here in the Deep South is sweet potato casserole… yeah, if you ask, I’ll share my recipe (because it’s THAT incredible)… and I heart and can’t wake up on Christmas morning without my mom’s “tea rings” – this amazing cinnamon roll Danish pastry ring thingy that I absolutely LIVE FOR every holiday. Oh, and homemade CHEESE GRITS!! Y’all rock and are doing a fab job with your social media – keep it up ladies!

  17. My favorite thing to make during the holidays has to be our infamous Pavlak Family rolls… a “storied” recipe that was handed down through the generations. They’re basically sweet rolls dipped in butter and sugar and baked, but I learned from my mom who learned from my grandma, who learned from my great-grandma. I’m so happy to continue this fun family tradition, and to be in on the secrets that make them so special!

  18. I just picked up some pumpkin spice pudding at the store — I have a feeling whatever I end up making with it will be my new favorite treat!
But mom’s peanut brittle and grandma’s chocolate covered everything (peanuts, Ritz crackers, cheerios — everything!) have to be my classic favorites.

  19. my favorite is our cookie exchange where we get 8 or so dozen different cookies and this yr. I’m in two different cookie exchanges so yummy!!

  20. My very favorite holiday treat is fried turkey! And I love it with cornbread dressing and giblet gravy! I’m ready to fire up that propane tank right now!!!

  21. My mom’s molasses cookies (why do they taste better than everyone else’s?), along with my grandma’s apple pie and blueberry pie. Oh . . . and cherry pie.

  22. That is a given… Christmas quiche. When else can you eat sausage, heavy whipping cream, 5 eggs, swiss cheese all mixed up and baked in a warm golden crust and even go for seconds and not feel guilty??? I use to make it with my mom, then I was put in charge of making it on Christmas every year and now i make it for my husband (the man who wouldn’t touch a quiche) every Christmas morning. The best part is that the recipe makes 2 quiches and you can eat it the next day as well! the family rule is that we only eat it on Christmas morning.

  23. Our polish family favorite- Pierogie! The best part is sharing time making them with my Mom and Sister (and up until this year my Grammie). I guess you enjoy them not only for the taste but the memories “made” with family.

  24. my foavorite holiday dish – Latkes with sour cream and applesauce. I think most people like one or the other — but I like to mix them together! Yum!!! :)

  25. My kids and I continue the tradition of making Latkes…potato pancakes…for Hanukkah. They like to vary the recipe, using sweet potatoes, carrots, and other veggies. We also make Sufganiyot, jelly donuts, another holiday treat!

  26. My grandfather’s homemade egg nog always starts and ends the season…and brings back all the memories from Christmas past! Can’t wait to shop at Catching Fireflies this holiday season!

  27. For my Christmas morning breakfast, I treat us to “Russian Pancakes” from a “Great Meals in Minutes” cookbook (I think it was from that one!).
They’re made with farmer’s cheese and you top them with sour cream and lightly sugared strawberries.
My husband is already talking about having them!

  28. I LOVE my Mom’s toffee bars – which I have now taken over primary baking responsibility for. Hard to get the texture just right, but when you do….yum!

  29. It may be because it is the only dish I get right, every time, but I love green bean casserole during this time of year. It just always hits to the spot!

  30. My favorite holiday activity is our annual Mitchell Dinner which has been going on for over 90 years. Our favorite dessert is Plum Pudding served each year at the meal – some strange ingredients like cognac and suet – but a superb English treat.

  31. My family orders Chinese on Dec. 26 with my brother and his family. That is OUR family’s Christmas dinner: no muss and no fuss. All the attention is on enjoying each other’s company, taking family photos, and playing games. We don’t exchange gifts, either. It is a delightful break from the hysteria of our other Christmas celebrations.

  32. I love Catching Fireflies’ website and visit it often to see their imaginative ideas and items.
My favorite holiday treat is cream cheese cookies with chocolate whipped cream on top. Rich and delicious!

  33. Hey There Catching Fireflies..My favorite Holiday goodie is thick sugar cookies with homemade frosting..I make the cookies and my sister is the frosting queen and makes the best frosting…we all go to grandmas house and frost and decorate..Yummy!
thanks for a another opportunity to WIN.
    Melissa from Naches, WA

  34. I love it all, however my favorite thing about the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday food is the day-after turkey sandwich! White bread (any other sandwich is whole grain bread), mayo, mustard and slices of wonderful home roasted turkey. Left over dressing and gravy on the side makes it even better.Yummmmmmmm! Then maybe a little snooze while “watching” t.v. afterwards.

  35. Aww my favorite treat is the plain jane peppermint candy cane..YUMMY…love em..keep them everywhere…during the holiday season.
thanks for an opportunity to win!
    Happy Holidays everyone!
    Melissa from Naches

  36. My favorite holiday treat are sausage balls and my signature cookie! Sausage balls are a southern favorite! Mix 2c Bisquick with 2 rolls of your favorite sausage (hot sausage is extra yum!) and 2 bags of shredded sharp cheddar cheese. Use your hands to mix all ingredients completely. Then roll into small balls, place on cookie sheer (use Pam so they don’t stick) and bake for @15 min at 375.
My signature cookie used to be completely from scratch–then I discovered an easy cheat! Prepare a bag of Oatmeal Cookie Mix (your favorite kind) following directions on bag; add craisins and dark chocolate chips (as many as you want!). Bake cookies following bag instructions. These are a total crowd pleaser, and they’re delicious!! The touch of red from the craisins is also quite festive!

  37. Pretty easy dip – chili con quesa:
Heat in small pot a Velvetta cheese package, add in a half pound of cooked, drained hamburger meat, add small chopped onion, stip until melted.
    Good with taco chips!

  38. My favorite holiday treat is my mom’s cookies. Ever since I was a kid she has made over 100 dozen cookies each year. It’s a great memory and a great holiday treat!!

  39. Making pies and watching the parade on TV – while my husband and kids are AT the parade and I’m alone with the spices and the crust and the pumpkin and all the good aromas that come from baking pies – any pies – but usually a good old fashioned pumpkin pie or two or three!

  40. My family bakes peanut butter kiss cookies and while they are in the oven we decorate cards and make little decorations. We deliver the cards and cookies to local nursing homes. It really warms our hearts to our small gift bringing so much joy to so many people. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!

  41. My favorite holiday treat is the stuffed mushrooms my best friend Dave makes – YUM! Wouldn’t be Thanksgiving without them!

  42. Favorite holiday treat are those star shaped cookies with white jimmies on them. Not sure if you can get them everywhere but this time of the year in and around Philadelphia we have them and they bring back lots of great holiday memories. Oh and did I mention no cooking required;)
