amazing att hand art ads

amazing att hand art ads
In my travels to the gift shows this season, I couldn't help to notice att's latest ad campaign in the airports and around NYC.  I've never seen such creative cell phone ads.   Each ad features real hands painted to look like unusual animals, landscapes and people.   The talented Italian artist behind these is Guido Danielle.       Click HERE to see more of his amazing artwork that transforms hands into .

One perk about attending the Atlanta gift show twice a year is that we get to see our artist friends, Paul & Karen Fincannon.  They always take us to a hip restaurant and catch us up on what's shakin' around the south… like Paul's latest fascination – The Big Green Egg.   Steve & I originally met Paul & Karen when they lived in Michigan and we were both doing the local art fair circuit.  I love her .

Theresa, one of our a.i. paper design studio gals surprised me today with an absolutely lovely hand drawn picture of our bulldog, Samson who passed away last spring.   She based her drawing from one of our pampered pet frame stock photos of Samson as a puppy.   This scan isn't the best quality so a lot of the amazing detail is lost… but still – isn't it fantastic?  Oh how I still miss my little .

delicious dishes, plates and bowls

This is the 3rd time we've exhibited next to R. Wood Studio during the Atlanta Gift Show and this year I finally broke down and indulged in a few of Rebecca's hand molded place settings and serving dishes.  The color tones, organic shapes and feel of these pieces are just amazing.  I can't wait to start using my one-of-a-kind set on a daily basis.     And just another reason I love being around other artists… look at her handmade .

Attention all mothers of lovely little girls.  There is an amazing sale going on at Matilda Jane.  I knew the talented designer behind these fun frocks back in my art fair days.  She used to paint adorable kids furniture and since then she's found grand success in the flirty fashion world. A portion of her story reads, "I wish I could say I started because I could not find any cute clothes for my kids, but .

great finds from Jamie Greathouse

great finds from Jamie Greathouse
Meet Jamie Greathouse of Shelby Township, Michigan.  She creates clever eye spy bags that'll keep your kids entertained during long waits (like at the doctors, store or while traveling).  We're proud to carry her original rectangle style that contain 27 unique charms & findings that beg to be found.   She also has lots of other whimsical styles available on her etsy site. I had the chance to chat with her about her delightful creations… What inspired .

hand drawn holidays

hand drawn holidays
Meet Theresa Davio of Ferndale, Michigan.  During the day she makes all the Ransom Quotes at our design studio, but in her free time she draws delightful scenes like these…. She is particularly know among her family & friends for her famous Christmas cards.  Every year she designs a new card and just recently she started offering them on etsy. These are a few of my favorites.  After all, who wouldn’t love a sincere .

too too cute – two liter bottles

too too cute – two liter bottles
Would you believe me if I said this oh-so-sweet little scene is made from the bottom of a two liter bottle? Leave it up to our very own Rochester firefly gal, Susan to have such an amazing imagination.  I recently gave her a bunch of glass bottles that I didn’t need and she made this wonderful winter scene for me as a thank you. In case you can’t make it out, it says "time .

Meet Marsha Filipiak of Royal Oak, Michigan.  She creates a unique assortment of artful wares and just recently she's branched out into whimsical green goods and vintage flavored ornaments. I had the opportunity to ask Marsha a little bit about her one-of-a-kind goodies… What inspired you to start creating your art and how did you turn it into a business? I love stained glass windows and decided to create some for our own new .
