Loads of ladies stopped by both our stores last Thursday to have a little fun and support a great cause. This year, 10% of our proceeds from the evening was donated to the Michigan Humane Society and I’m proud to say we raised $230! And did you also know that we also donate $1 for every pampered pet frame we sell throughout the year?  So far, we’ve sold 158 of them! Supporting a great .

Over 150 trick-or-treaters visited our Rochester location this Saturday and got a jump start on collecting candy from all the downtown shops. Our bully, Samson didn’t want to miss out on the fun, so he donned his business best and greeted them at the door. Our festive staff also got into the act.  Cathy came as a mystical fairy. Lots of ladies had loads of fun at our recent Girl’s Night Out.  We had pretty princesses of all ages tour through our Rochester location.  Catching fireflies was 1 of 46 shops & salons participating in the event. We passed out colorful necklaces, cider & donuts and our favorite acoustic guitar guy, Eric Fritts serenaded the ladies with his smooth (and sometimes silly) tunes. He even played some Neil Diamond for our manager, Dena… .

Day four was spent painting new and old displays and adding the last coat of poly-acrylic to the back half of the store. Jessica is painting our new tile display and Ashley is giving our plain-jane wood jewelry cabinets a fresh look. On day two of our renovation I hung big window signs to let folks know what’s shakin’. Meanwhile, I got busy covering the front half of the floor with a second coat of paint and adding some fun fireflies to the mix. I enlarged our firefly mascots, Luci & Flair, and traced them in a variety of places around the store. Then I painted the different body parts one color at a time. Pretty .
